used to. Actually was |337 ffxi player for about 9years on Alexander Server. Once they killed the story from 11, didnt let me import my 9year character, and based xiv on ...crafting..................
that just about nailed the coffin for me. Pretty sure they are clambering now in an attempt to rekindle the world of Final but it's over. I'd actually just leave that alone and not waste good gaming hours playing some one's mistake. We all(FFXI Avatars) submitted feedback and posted on forums as to the direction we'd of liked to see that franchise take; annnnnd it didn't. Get out while you can!! lmao xD
aahhh the days of FFXI hours of camping NM's all day RMT's fuckin up the AH. Got some help from good friends and some bad..lol ~_^ 6 years in needed a year here and there off. but i might have to say best MMORPG i ever played. was a good run Gat some up's and down's Alexander server was the best even with the n00bs.
SilverXI FFXIV is not that great looks real nice just about it. dont know how long you've been playing it but i've played just about 8months or so of it last year. they changed alot to it. 2.0v so they is going to be the biggest update. so what your play now is going to be so different when 2.0v comes. hope your having fun. what server you on?
I played FFXI from 2004 till 2011 (early) I was on Phoenix server for about 2 yrs then I moved to Ramuh.
As far as XIV goes I am on Mysidia and I like the game so far it's better now than it was when I first tried it out, plus it was free to play for a while. The game is slowly becoming like XI but I enjoy it to play once in a while with real life friends / fam. I play a "mithra" on XIV, I don't know their new proper names so you XI players know what I'm saying
I see; well for very casual play ya 14 is shaping up to surpass it's predecessor. Enjoy and keep us updated on the development happening within Ezoria(if that's even still the name used). Cheers and good hunts!

All I have to say is that this is what the game was supposed to be off the rip! And these devs using hindsight all the time is getting old. Still won't be paying a subscript because Square Enix ruined the relationship between player/game and this is just a slap in the face to decade+ Avatars that sit on the server unused-looks good reeeeal good-but they're not getting my $$$$ any more >.>
Funny how soooon after I shouted that about AF; quests; Dyna; etc they started firing devs and replacing them w.ffxi devs. You could just get off the arrogance, SE, and actually listen to people instead of driving products to the market that no one really wants.
The only way i'd play this is with 12month complimentary subscript and my Avatar reinstated in the new game world because that was LIFE put into my character-time isn't refundable! @_@
