Steam now has practically all the mods on there site now all you need to do is "subscribe" to the mod and I guess it just installs in the next time you log into the game!

I doubt that's how it'll work, man. You might be able to "subscribe" to the mod but doing so will probably just keep you up to date with what the community is doing that makes the mod. Not actually installing it and whatnot. For all of that you'll have to use the nexus mod manager.

No you don't, it updates and installs the mod itself.

For more complicated mods, It will probably require 3rd party support, but for most it should be a very simple process. :)

I find this easier because you don't need to search all of nexus mod manager for it and just one click and it installs, downfall you can't see how much space it'll take up unless you go on the site itself

Yeah, I'm going to continue using skyrimnexus and the Nexus Mod Manager. I played around with the steam mods and don't really like it. I see that it brings game expansion to the masses, but just isn't as entertaining or satisfying as doing it the old fashioned way. Plus, there aren't as many mods on Steam as there are on skyrimnexus.

The steam workshop is connected to nexus mod manager except it was made easier and more convenient to people. Like the people who created the mods posted their work onto the workshop, that's my understanding of it anyways.
