I want to start doing weekly raids. So I would like the SWTOR crew to discuss possible organization of raids and a good time to turn this into a weekly ordeal. I don't have much experience with this so I'm completely open to suggestions.
I'll be attempting to keep this thread on topic so any trolling or unhelpful post WILL be deteled.
**************** EDIT ******************
Weekly raids will be held every Monday and Wednesday night at 8pm EST (GMT -5). These raids will include any and everything from Flashpoints, World Bosses, Operations, to Group pvp. Teamspeak is not required, but it is highly encouraged and desired.
GET SOME!

as tempting as an open roll system might be, if you are aiming to push hard into weekly raid content, a loot council system might be preferred for key regular roles, eg, regular main tank, regular main heals that way you get your key members able to push further content and unlock more loot overall for all raid members.
If not, open rolls work well.
with most mmo style PvE content, the major issue is loot, or the lack of it. so just make sure that you have a loot system worked out in advance and let everyone know who attends what it is before you start, this will save you a lot of hassle and bad press if go "wrong"

With having 10 50's now we should be able to get a good rotation for hard modes.
I am down to play anytime really, my schedule is up in the air most days but I know Tuesday night would be the night where I am pretty sure I will not be playing.

I used to be in a raiding guild in WoW, and we used a DKP system to distribute loot. Is that still used nowadays? Is it even necessary?
I'm usually on most nights at some point, but wouldn't be able to raid until maybe 9pm CST. Also, I've only done a couple of the flashpoints, and none of the lvl 50 ones yet.

dkp is great for a group of guild only because you have a finite list of people with regular stats to go up and down.
its when pugs get in there it make things complex, there are some dkp systems which incorperate pugs, and there are plenty of ways of doing it.
just wanted to spark discussion about loot systems as they can ruin guild's reputations and cause alot of undue stress.

Well this topic is NOT to determine who gets loot.
I want to know what times are good for everyone and ideas about organizing raids.

Loot won't be an issue. Also, DKP hasn't really been used for a while.
As it stands now, I'm available most of the time. Early evenings are the only sketchy time due to interruptions from other people though normally it doesn't take too long.
I've got experience raiding, as well as leading a raid guild. Once we get the roles hashed out we should be good to go.

I have never played an mmo before so I do not know anything about a looting system.
as far as roles go you know me

Hi,
I'm up for both HardModes and Operations (and level 50 FPs/Heroics for dailies).
I'm available everyday but Wednesday after 7:00 PM EST.
Thanks....

we should also set up a time to go after world bosses again, the first time was awesome.
